A Two day Wine immersion in the great Tuscan wines, amusing and interesting, able to teach a lot about Syrah, Sangiovese, Cortona doc, Nobile di Montepulciano, Vin Santo, Chianti….and about an antique town of central Italy.

An intense and unforgettable experience. 

Brief lesson on the vineyard and lots of guided tastings, visits to the wineries moving from great historical producer to small family-run farms, to learn how to prune a vine, which flavor ,a barrique or a tonneau or a barrel, gives to the wine…tasting 10 wines and many Tuscan dishes.
A weekend with two nights and two days full of experiences and discoveries to “jump into “ Tuscan wine.

The proposal includes:

• 1 Welcome tasting
• 2 nights stay in apartment with 
"Good morning basket" full of sweet and salted local products
• 1 dinner in typical restaurant, wines included
• 1 light lunch, wines included
• 1 guided tour of Cortona’s historic centre
• 2 tours of the wineries

The transfers are not included and must be done with one’s own car. Visits to the cellars, light lunch in the winery, guided tour and dinner to be paid directly at service provider.



Arrival at agriturismo, settle into the apartment at Villa La Morina where the furniture is antique ,the comfort is modern and Wi-fi is included.  
The estate is in fact a small hamlet with a villa, two farm houses, a common area with a fireplace and wood stoves and a little family chapel. 

19.30 pm Welcome tasting, with a selection of local cold cuts, Tuscan bread and wines. Dinner to be planned: in a restaurant around here, independently prepared in the common area with kitchen, or in your apartment. With our contribution of tips and advice.


8.30-10.00 am Breakfast with handmade cakes and biscuits, local cold cuts, extra virgin olive oil dips, as well as coffee, milk and tea.

10.30 am Guided tour of Cortona, with an historian to know anecdotes, stories and legends of the most important Etruscan and Roman town of the Val di Chiana, at the border between Tuscany and Umbria.

11.30 am Visiting of MAEC, Etruscan Academy Museum; highly recommended, to do independently by purchasing ticket.

01.00 pm Light lunch of cheese, selection of cold cuts and olive oil accompanied by wines of the Tuscan designation origin Cortona d.o.c., at the oldest wine bar of  Cortona.

2.00 pm drive to the Archaeological Park of Cortona in the Sodo, at the feet of the town, with own car. Visit of the Etruscan necropolis of 6th century BC.

3.30 pm guided tour of Tenimenti d 'Alessandro Cellars . A great farm of  Val di Chiana with two centuries of history, where they discovered the vocation of Cortona’s terroir for Syrah vine variety. The tasting of two wines takes place in a charming lounge decorated with contemporary artwork.

4.30 pm Walk through the vineyards of Syrah.

Return to Villa La Morina

8.00 pm Dinner with tasting menu, 4 courses matched with Rosso Cortona and Vin Santo, at Dardano Restaurant in Cortona’s old centre.


8.30-10.00 am Buffet breakfast with handmade cakes and biscuits, local cold cuts, extra virgin olive oil dips, as well as coffee, milk and tea.

10.00 am Guided tour of vineyards and Faralli’s Cellar, small family-run farm in Fasciano of Cortona, to be reached by one’s own car through a very panoramic road. Tasting of a Cortona DOC and a IGT with an aging. We suggest to make here a possible purchase of wine or oil, on the basis of the excellent price/quality ratio.
